Immunizations

Public Health nurses provide and distribute immunizations against vaccine preventable diseases.

Location of Services
Berrien County Health Department offices in Benton Harbor, Niles, and Three Oaks. All immunizations are given by appointment only.

Vaccines for Children Program (VFC)

Children who have Medicaid or whose insurance does not cover vaccines are eligible for this program which provides vaccines at no cost to the family. There is a small administrative fee of $16.75 for VFC vaccines. No one is denied services for inability to pay.

Cost of Services

  • Flu shots and FluMist - $30.00
  • Pneumonia shots - $70.00
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (3 shot series) - $55.00 per shot
  • Hepatitis A (2 shot series) - $45.00 per shot
  • Hepatitis A and B (Twinrix) (3 shot series) - $65.00 per shot
  • Meningitis - $125.00
  • HPV Vaccine (Gardasil) (3 shot series) - $145.00 per shot
  • Chicken Pox (varicella) - $108.00
  • Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis (Tdap) - $52.00
  • Many vaccines for adults are available at no or little cost for a limited time through Local Health Departments.
